Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell Welcomes Two New Attorneys in Tampa

TAMPA – September 26, 2016 – Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell has expanded its casualty defense litigation team in Tampa with the hiring of attorneys Meredith K. Fee and Josh Gehres. Both lawyers were hired as associates after successfully completing the firm’s comprehensive Summer Associate Program in 2015.

Fee earned a law degree from the Florida State University College of Law where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She served as president of FSU Law Mock Trial, a member of FSU Moot Court and president of TransactioNOLES. In addition to participating in the Summer Associate Program, Fee served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald Flury, Leon County Court, Second District. She also earned a bachelor of science degree from Florida State University.

Gehres earned a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he was an editor of Florida Law Review. He served as an Ambassador for the Introduction to Law School and the Profession (ILSP) program and as the Election Commissioner Chair for Student Government. Gehres earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, and MBA from Florida State University where he lettered while on the FSU Varsity Football Team. He also served an externship for the Honorable Philip Lammens, United States Magistrate Judge, Middle District of Florida.

Rumberger’s Summer Associate Program prepares top law students for a rigorous and rewarding career in the legal profession by incorporating legal research, writing, educational workshops, attendance at hearings, depositions, and mediations, and a simulated trial. The carefully-designed litigation curriculum teaches the "nuts and bolts" of trial practice, and assist the summer associate in preparing for the trial. Many of the firm’s principal litigators participate as coaches, judges, witnesses, and jurors. Teams of summer associates conduct the trials in a spirit of educational competition.
