Chase Hattaway practices in the areas of employment, casualty litigation and construction defect.
As part of his employment practice, Chase consults with employers on compliance with state and federal law. He also defends employers in state and federal court against various claims of discrimination including retaliation, harassment, whistle-blower and wrongful termination.
As part of his casualty practice, Chase defends retailers in cases involving significant personal injuries and property damage. He has prevailed on motions for summary judgment and at trial in both state and federal court.
Additionally, Chase represents general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect cases. He handles all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Chase earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and a Research Assistant to professor Jason Palmer. Chase was a 2010 inductee to the Order of the Barristers and a 2010 Who’s Who Among American Law Students. Chase also received several honors including the 2010 Ralph Harris Ferrell Competition Award, 2010 Moot Court Award of Excellence and 2010 Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award.
